I have always considered my life a journey of deepening and transforming. To this end, I have explored and followed my own path, and I have dedicated myself to helping others discover their unique paths.
My education has provided the tools for my own self-work and for my psychotherapy practice. This includes an undergraduate degree in English, a Master of Arts in Teaching of English and a Master of Social Work. I have extensive training and mentoring in depth psychology, dream work, the expressive arts and psychospiritual inquiries. Over the years, Steven Aizenstadt, Seena Frost, Marion Woodman, Arnold Mindell, Cassandra Light and Patrice Vecchione have been important mentors in the areas of depth psychology and the expressive arts.
In addition, I am a certified Spiritual Director, SoulCollage® Facilitator, MeCards4Kids® Facilitator and Mussar Facilitator. As Coordinator of the Facilitator Training Program for The Mussar Institute, I lead trainings for lay leaders and rabbis.
I entered my dark night of the soul during my thirty-ninth year. Having never used clay before, I quite literally found a piece of clay in my hands one day and decided to give expression to my “darkness.” What emerged instead was a figure profoundly at peace, who served as my Muse through a several-year process of unfolding. During that time, I made several dolls and masks, which served as portals to my inner world. This experience opened me to the power of the expressive arts.
My commitment to the creative process is unwavering. I have had an ongoing SoulCollage® practice for many years. In addition to working with clay, I have water colored, written poetry, collaged the weekly Torah readings and written poetic commentaries.
In my work as a psychotherapist and spiritual director, and in my commitment to my personal process, I am always led to the recesses of the self where which psyche resides and where spirit can emerge. It is a great honor to sit in an energetically-infused, multi-dimensional space with others.
When your soul awakens, you begin to truly inherit your life. You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces, repetitive talk and weary roles and slip deeper into the true adventure of who you are and who you are called to become.
